The Warehouse is a 4-star graded, one-of-a-kind self-catering accommodation concept. Part recycled factory loft, part Highveld farmstead, this unique space pays tribute to the industrial developments of the 20th century. From its retro radio and kitchen appliance collections to its themed bedrooms telling the stories of automotive, railroad and space travel, the house is much more than a place to stay...it's an unforgettable experience.
The entire lower story was built to resemble a refurbished factory and houses a state of the art kitchen, complete with Nespresso machine, gas stove and every other modern convenience. Large shuttered doors open onto the patio and beautiful indigenous gardens.
Built on a stony outcrop overlooking the neighbouring farm, The Warehouse offers sightings of blesbuck, springbuck, ostrich and a wide variety of birds. Our lap pool is perfect for cooling off after a long day of sight-seeing.

PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT!
We were really happy when we stumbled across this place on the internet as the price was really good and it looked amazing. We said "If the pictures are 50% as accurate as they depict here then we will be happy". The truth is that the pictures do not do this place justice and neither could a video. This place is 150 square metres of pure design, memorabilia that has been collected artfully over a lifetime. It is so stylish, light, huge, open and peaceful and it has to be seen to be believed. When we arrived at the warehouse and the beautiful red gate opened we were met by three staff standing in a line. I felt like the Queen who had arrived at her summer residence. We got a tour of the house and none of us could believe that it was so beautiful. The pictures, for example, do not show the shower which affords a view over Protea Ridge. You can practically shower outside. The beautiful bathtubs and the light in the bedrooms are so unexpected (the three bathrooms). The huge master bedroom, the huge wraparound balcony. The kitchen is simply a delight with every single contraption you can think of and the pool is much bigger than it looks and the temperature is perfect. Seriously, this place lacks nothing. Value for money is outstanding and the owner (who also furnished the place) replied to my messages within minutes and nothing was too much trouble. Simply the nicest place I have ever stayed in. I am counting the days until my next visit in June.

This house has soul...the perfect mix of vintage, luxury and art!
We spent our first few days in SA at The Warehouse -and what a place!
This house has soul. Every single detail is well thought through and has a purpose. It all comes together to create a funky, artsy, vintage feel that inspires.
Friendly and helpful staff, breakfasts more like breakfeasts - opt in for those is our advice :)
The kitchen is well equiped and we enjoyed preparing our food together. The star of the show has to be the coffee machine that delivered cup after cup of coffee with the perfect crema.
We spent a lot of time on the stoep (patio) enjoying the far reaching view, starting with the indigenous garden, moving on to protea ridge with both tame sheep and wild buck roaming around freely.
I can really recommend this for a perfect getaway - close to everything you might need, safely tucked away in an estate and views that will remind you that you really are in Africa.
